Dr Agnieszka Piotrowska is an award winning documentary filmmaker and a theorist, best know for her film Married to the Eiffel Tower (2009) which has been screened in more than 40 countries. Her latest film THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY IN HARARE (2013) has been nominated for the Best Documentary in an international film festival in Zimbabwe in 2012 as the only non African film maker granted the distinction. She is a recipient of arts research grants from the British Council and the European Solidarity Foundations. Her PhD was completed under Professor Stephen Frosh at Birkbeck. Her monograph entitled Psychoanalysis and Ethics in Documentary Film was published by Routledge in September 2013 to enthusiastic reviews.
